Here are some pictures of Shannon our snow loving dog. He was the best dog. He was 11 when he died. That fact still brings tears to my eyes.
Shannon was a "throw-away dog". He was found by a police officer in a vineyard eating grapes. The officer pulled out his gun and Shannon ran up to him and licked him. He brought Shannon back to the township garage where hubby was a bodyman for the township. Hubby fell in love with Shannon after Shannon ate all of the apple pie hubby gave him. Shannon was with us for over 10 years.

Very cute dog. I’m glad you had so many years together, though I’m sorry he passed. I want a dog very badly…as soon as I have a yard.
Battlerocker: Thank you. He’s been gone almost 12 years now. I still miss him. I can’t say that about all of the pets we’ve owned. Shannon was special.
so beautiful. You must miss him. My cat passed away in May, and I still cry for him. It’s nice that you had this rare connection.
Thats a pretty dog.
Beautiful dog. Was she a husky?
Okay, I am not sure why Fabs Avatar and blog url got put with my comment, but that is really me, Shelli, who commented prior to this one.
Shelli.. I don’t know why that happens. I’ve changed your URL on a couple comments that came up with Fabs… It confused the hell out of me LOL. I’ll go in and fix that one too.
Shelli.. all fixed. Now to answer your question. He was part lab, shepherd and husky.
Haley: I miss him terribly.
Bozette: Thank you. He was gorgeous.
Cute dog and I want some snow!
ANO: Thank you! I want snow too
What a beautiful dog. Sounds like he was very fortunate to find your family as well.
Rav’N: Thank you
What a beautiful dog.
What happens is Shelli is sometimes in my stuff and then forgets to log out LOL
Fab: Thanks!
Oh is that what happens? LOL

Keeping your daughter in my thoughts and prayers.
Sorry for above typos, its been one of those days. I am going to add you to links at both my blogs if that would be okay?
Dariana: Thank you. Please do add links to my blog
That wasn’t the case this time though because I made sure to log out after I helped him with something because I had to comment on his blog and I can’t do that as myself if I am still logged in as an author.
I think I figured it out. I just went and checked by re-typing my url and it came up with both of ours his is first alphabetically and since I just assumed that mine was the only one that would come up, I just clicked on it without really looking.
BTW, I have a gravatar. How come it doesn’t show up here? waaaa…
ahhh…it’s not gravatar, it’s mybloglog! LOL Nevermind.
Shelli.. LOL I was just about to say that it’s mybloglog.
Great post! Visiting from the carnival.
What a sweetheart! I’ve got 2 snow loving dogs myself – it’s fun to watch on a good day, not so much at 2am when all you really want them to do is pee
Some dogs definitely touch our souls more than others. I’m glad you had the special experience with Shannon.
How wonderful that you had him for 10 years. What great memories!
Lisa, Donna, Amy & Marisa: Thank you
All of the dogs who have blessed my life for a while and then left mee took a little piece of my heart when their time came. Shannon wasn’t a throw away! He was just wandering around looking for the family where he belonged, and sure did that!
Skeet: Yes, he was were he belonged. He was the best dog anyone could ask for. I know I’ll never find another one like him. He was one of a kind.
He was meant to be your dog. That’s how our dogs picked us out. I know how much you miss him.
Karen: Thank you
what a beautiful dog… It’s so funny how animals pick their families. We had a dog that loved snow too… they’re so much fun. I’m sure you miss him very much.
I had a cocker spaniel that loved the snow! She would come inside with little snow balls all matted to her long hair!
What a sweet looking pup. Sorry for your loss!
Suni: Thank you. I really miss him. No other dog we had could compare to him. He was one of kind
Awww he is a cute boy.
It’s way too hard to loose them.
Cynthia: He was so cute and so good. Thank you.
