fun-in-the-sand This picture (click on it to see a bigger picture) shows that they do have fun over in Iraq. This was taken during a supersoaker fight. The wet, muddy one on the left, in the t-shirt, is Andi. She told me all about this fun and I happened to find a picture on the FRG website for her battalion.

The fun started with water being dumped on someone then a full scale battle ensued and supersoakers were brought out. Buckets of water and supersoakers in amongst the steel buildings and tents. Andi told me it was a lot of fun and a big stress buster. I was happy to see that they do have fun and it’s not all stress and work.

Speaking of Andi. The grandkids were here yesterday and got to see mommy on the webcam. They really miss her a lot. I was told that several times yesterday by the kids. They are all still sleeping right now and it’s peaceful, but that won’t last long!

That looks fun, but messy. It’s good to know that they get some relief from the reality over there, too.

Great photo, looks like a fun way to cool off in the Iraq heat. It must be tough trying to stay sane in those conditions. It really makes you appreciate the things in which we have here.

Raymond: They have to be wary of mud puddles. They never know who is hiding around the corner waiting to throw them in!

Joe: Sanity is the big issue and anything that allows them to bust the stress is a good thing!
