01 Nov 2007 Texas trip soon
 |  Category: family  | 4 Comments

Hubby and I were discussing our upcoming trip to Texas. We were talking about the routes to take and where to stay. Our route will be taking us through several states, one being Tennessee. I wonder how much Pigeon Forge cabin rentals are?

I’ll be taking the laptop with us. Andi got an adapter so it can be used while we’re driving, if we happen to run into a wireless connection someplace. So we’ll be able to find routes and places to stay on the road.

I’m really getting excited. I can’t wait to see Andi and the newest grandson again!

01 Nov 2007 I may have a permanent job soon!

Yesterday one of our VP’s called me into his office and asked how I was making out with my job and wondered how I liked it. That was just so odd. He never asks me questions like that. I told him I was doing quite well and I really love my job. I also told him I’d love it even more if it was permanent. He told me to “hang in there” and that something was in the works. Then today I hear talk in the office that they will need room for more people next season. They are planning on opening a lot more stores. So it looks like I’ll have a permanent job next season… if not sooner!

I love my job. I love where I work. What job offers you the chance to wear jeans and t-shirts every day and great people to work with? Not many…

01 Nov 2007 It was a bust

Halloween around my condo complex was a bust. I had one knock at the door. I looked out through the peephole and it was a group of 3 or 4 teenagers wearing hooded sweatshirts, carrying plastic grocery bags. I didn’t open the door. I watched as they knocked on the door across the hall and complained that they could hear someone inside. They didn’t open their door either.

People here evidently take their kids someplace else to trick or treat. Last year I had no kids come to the door either.

I’ve mentioned before that this is not the safest place to live and I don’t like opening my door after dark.

Oh.. I forgot to mention about my boss yesterday. We were all wearing pajamas and after awhile he decided to wear one of our aprons that the store employees wear. It’s orange and has the company name on it. He looked funny in it!
