No, I’m not moving. I’m moving my blogs to a new host. The host I’m currently using isn’t very helpful. A couple months ago things started getting very slow when you click on a button to submit *I’m sure you’ve noticed when you’ve tried to comment*. The host told me that there was nothing wrong on their end. I’ve gone to another bloggers blog that uses the same host and it seems she has the same problem. It takes over 30 seconds for anything to happen.
I paid for 2 years with this host, I hope they refund quickly. With this new host, I’m going to do a month to month until I’m satisfied with them. I need to do something. I’m afraid I’m losing commenters for this reason. I’m waiting for my account info to come from them. I just hope I’m not jumping from the frying pan into the fire.
Arrrgh! Good luck with that. I’ve been through the blog-move thing and it’s a hassle, but if you’re not getting good service I can understand why you’d tackle it. Hope it all goes smoothly!
Skeet: Thanks. This is a host that several others rave about and I don’t want to mention names. But I just haven’t had a good experience with them. I’ve had my blogs suspended way too many times for too much CPU usage and things like that. I’ve disabled plugins and done a lot to try to stop that and nothing works. I’ve sent in tickets and they say there’s nothing wrong with the server I’m on. I think they’re wrong. So I’m trying someone else to see.
I use Hosting Matters and with all things considered are pretty responsive and reliable.
InstaPundit, Powerline and Captain’s Quarters uses them.
Oh please tell me it isn’t the one I just moved to. Waaahh!
