31 Dec 2008 I can’t wait!
 |  Category: life  | Tags: , , ,  | 2 Comments

I posted a few days ago the I was getting a new desk for Christmas. I ordered it on Christmas day and it’s been shipped. It will be here on Friday. I probably would have gotten it tomorrow but since it’s a holiday it will be Friday. I can’t wait.

I got my old desk all cleaned off, except for my computer equipment, in preparation for my new desk. I can’t wait to toss this old one. The keyboard tray fell off again today and this time it landed right on my bare feet. That freakin’ hurt!!

I’ll post a picture of my new desk once we get it all together and re-stocked.

29 Dec 2008 What will it take?
 |  Category: family  | Tags: , , , , , , ,  | 2 Comments

What will it take to get my daughter home from Kuwait? She is still sitting there waiting for a flight out. I understand that they are trying to get soldiers home for R&R in time for New Years but come on… Can’t someone be nice and give up their seat for a pregnant woman. Andi has been sleeping in a tent and it can’t be very comfortable for her.

I talked to her on Yahoo this morning. She’s tired, grumpy and bored. She just want’s to get home before her hubby leaves for Iraq since she won’t see him until he comes home for R&R.

Please… someone over there be nice to the pregnant one and let her have your seat! Thanks in advance!

29 Dec 2008 Still there

As far as I know Andi is still in Kuwait. She was supposed to leave the day after Christmas but in typical Army fashion they screwed that up. They gave her like 5 minutes to get her gear together and get on the bus to the place she was to fly out of.. but… they forgot to send her paperwork along with her. So there she sits still waiting to fly home.

I got a message from her yesterday morning saying she may not get out of there until the 10th or it could be as early as today. I’m not holding my breath. I’m about as pissed as I can be. I’m about to get on someone’s case motorcycle accident lawyers Los Angeles style. grrrrr

25 Dec 2008 The best Christmas present ever
 |  Category: family  | Tags: , , , ,  | 5 Comments

I got up this morning and turned on my computer. My Yahoo messenger automatically loads up and I had an offline message from Andi. That in itself is a great present.. but that’s not the best part. She’s coming home in the next few days!!!!!!!

Yes, she just got there but (here is the second part of the best present) she found out she’s pregnant! I’m going to be a gramma again!! This makes #7. Anyway she’ll let me know exactly when she’ll be home as soon as she knows.

I was very depressed last night because I wished all of my kids and grandkids could be here for Christmas and now my mood has gone from the very lower depths to a very high point.

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope your day is as good as mine is.
