05 Jan 2008 Elliptical Video
 |  Category: Health  | 6 Comments

I made a video with my elliptical. It’s not real good because I stink at making videos. It shows how easy it is to fold up this machine to save space. I really love that feature of it. I did use it for 20 minutes today, but the 20 minutes wasn’t all at the same time. I have to work up slowly to that mark so I don’t hurt myself. I do love using it though.

I’ll keep updating my blog with my exercising progress.

Here’s the video. Please excuse the quality, I use my digital camera to take videos, I don’t have a video camera.

Temporarily removed the video. It will be back soon.

Andi and the kids made it back to Texas about 7:30 last night. Andi told me that the first night on the road Tayler told her they had to find a motel with internet because she HAD to check her email and let her friends know where she was! This child is 11 and she’s already worrying about having an internet connection. She was in luck. The motel they stayed at had wireless internet and she didn’t even have to use a Cat5E cable. She also worried about whether or not Andi had internet at the house. When I was that age all I worried about was whether my friends were home so we could play outside! My how times have changed.

05 Jan 2008 Childhood Memory

I was just thinking about my parents when I was young. We had a gorgeous dining room table and chairs. The way the legs were on this table separated the underneath into 3 parts. This was a perfect place for me to play with my Barbie dolls. I made furniture for them out of cardboard and shoeboxes. I had 3 rooms for my Barbies. I could play under that table all day. Sometimes I put sheets or blankets over the table so they hung down and it was my playhouse. I had a very vivid imagination as a child. I had to have one… I was basically an only child. I have 1 sister who is 12 years older than me and we weren’t close. She wasn’t happy when I came along. She wouldn’t take me for walks because she didn’t want people thinking that I was her little girl.

As I got older my father decided he wanted a pool table. He got one and moved that old dining room table and chairs to the basement. The pool table had a top for it so you could play ping pong too. He got a rack to put on the wall to put his pool sticks in. On holidays we would bring the dining room chairs up from the basement and put them around the pool table. Mom would get out her table cloth and put it over the ping pong table. Thinking about it now it was like the Beverly Hillbillies show. lol One Christmas my father set up trains on the top of the pool table.

Aren’t childhood memories great?

My elliptical is together! YAY! There are no pictures of it being assembled because hubby is a pain and hates having his picture taken. But here is a picture of it all together. It took about 2 hours to get it all together.
