12 Jan 2008 25 Minutes
 |  Category: Health

I just finished 25 minutes on the elliptical. Playing music while I workout really helps I just close my eyes and move to the music and time flies. I also put the resistance up a notch or 2 about halfway through my workout. Then I lowered it again for the last 5 minutes.

My doc is going to be thrilled when I go back to him on the 21st. Well… partly thrilled.. he still wants me to quit smoking. Yeah.. I know …. don’t you go climbing all over my butt about it too!

I haven’t gotten on the scale lately, but the last time I did I weighed 138. I’ll get on it later and see if anything is happening there.

Stay tuned for more updates!

138 is a good weight. I’m not climbing over my husband’s butt anymore but I always tell him not worry because I will always carry his oxygen tank and push his wheelchair around when smoking gets the best of him. I’m a nurse and i’ve seen smokers getting it (it-which-must-not-be-discussed). Enjoy your workout.

Don’t you give up or get discouraged. Remember that everyone hits that plateau. When the diet and exercise seems to stop working and you stop losing the weight. Keep in mind this is natural and only a temp thing. Don’t stop!

I don’t see why you need to lose weight. 138 is an okay weight.

BadEvan: This post is not about giving up. I’m not giving up on my exercise at all.

Meg: Thanks! I know that’s not a bad weight but my doc wants me to lose some weight so I must appease the doc! lol

Leon: Thanks… that’s what I think too… but the doc thinks otherwise.

  7. Your doing great, and mentioning that your even thinking smoking might not be good for you is a start..good luck.

@Charlotte – I didn’t think you were giving up…. I just know that this is the spot where most people start hitting walls. I just don’t want to see you get discouraged if it happens…
