Last night was the icing on the cake. About 10:30 PM the chanter came outside and started yelling at the top of his lungs for about 20 minutes. I wrote another email to the association at that time. After he was done chanting I went to bed. Just after 11PM I got woke up by a slamming door and loud chanting again. After a minute or two I hear my neighbor across the hall holler at him to shut the f*** up. It got quiet for a minute until he got back to his bedroom which is right under mine and he stared chanting loud again. Sleep wasn’t happening for me for at least another half hour.

I got an answer from the email I sent this morning just before leaving for PT. After PT I stopped in at the association building to tell them what happened after I sent the email at 10:30 last night. They were so nice there. The invited me to stay for coffee and we had a nice chat. They told me that the guy who started the fire in the laundry room was gone the day after this happened and they told me the real story of what he did. He took the clothes out of the dryer and stuffed them all in between the washer and dryer and yanked the electrical cable out of the hot water heater and put it in the clothes. I had noticed that the smoke detector hadn’t been going off every day anymore. They are also trying to get the people who care for the chanter into assisted living and out of here.

The association has put up cameras in the parking lots and the main entrance into the complex to combat problems. There were some people trying to start up gangs here but that has been curbed due to people being evicted and the cameras. This place is beginning to become a nice place to live again.
