Life After The Army

I just found out that the company I worked for as a temp and was supposed to return this summer as a temp has laid off a lot of people. The department I worked in didn’t lay off anyone but they have had to do a lot of cutbacks. That includes not hiring outside the office for my job.

They are unsure if they will be bringing me back or not this season. I’m pretty upset right now and just don’t know where to turn. I know my unemployment will probably be extended but I also get worker’s comp which will run out the end of March. That’s going to cut my income in half.

I checked in the newspaper and there is nothing listed in this area for the work I do. I will keep looking but I’m not holding out much hope. This economy really sucks!
