I found out, this weekend, that my son and his wife are going to have a baby girl!! That is just the best news in the world. They have a son already and this baby will make it our 2nd grand daughter. Our other grand daughter is our oldest grandchild and the other 5 are boys.

This is my son that lives in Texas and was a pilot until he was laid off in January. His wife is a teacher and is still working. I guess he has a lot of time to plan on how to keep his new daughter-to-be safe from the boys and play on the ps3.

He’s gonna have to keep an eye on her because I’m sure she’s gonna be very beautiful. Both her parents are very good looking. I can’t wait to meet her.

I figure it’s about time I post this.. I love my kids!! Well.. they aren’t little anymore. My oldest just turned 36. We had our problems with the kids when they were younger but I think we were very lucky and they grew up to be great people.

We have gotten 6 wonderful grandkids and have 1 more on the way (hope it’s a girl this time as we have 1 grand daughter). 4 of them live in NJ and the others live in South Carolina and Texas.

Even though I didn’t take the best prenatal vitamins in the world they all turned out healthy with no major problems.

Theo, Kris, Andi… I love you all very much and I’m so proud to be your Mom!

My grand daughter is 13, soon to be 14, and her dad told her she could dye her hair if she wanted to. Well… she did and it’s PINK!!! Well, not all of it is pink but the front is. I know when she was little she always said she wanted purple hair but I didn’t expect this.

Actually it really doesn’t look bad.. it just makes her look so different.

Andi and her boyfriend have decided to start making candles and they want to sell them. Soon I’ll be doing a review on them and posting it here. Right now they’re making soy candles and paraffin candles. As the business grows they’ll branch out into beewax candles too.

Andi gave me one to review and I have it burning right now and so far it smells good.

DSC03210Yesterday was a gorgeous day out. It was warm, for this time of year, and there was a little bit of a breeze. Andi, Drew, Benton and I went to Ocean City and took a walk on the beach. We picked up seashells so Andi can make a nice little shadowbox for Benton.

We saw what the last 4 day nor’easter did to the beaches and it really made a mess of them. Most of the dunes have been washed away and a lot of the wooden ramps from the boardwalk were closed because of at least a 6 foot drop down to the beach from the missing dunes.

There were a few other people walking the beach using metal detectors, collecting shells and even a couple surfers. I forgot just how calming and relaxing the sound of the waves can be. I could have sat on the rocks for hours and just listened to the waves crashing.

Benton enjoyed his first trip to the beach. We had him bundled up with his little animal/bear hat on to keep his head warm and a warm blanket. But the sun was warm and the breeze wasn’t too bad until we started back up the beach to the car. But other than that it was a great day.

Not really… it’s raining and it’s supposed to rain all day. My shoulders, neck and back are aching and I feel much older than 56 today. But it’s my birthday and I guess I should just be thankful I woke up today, right? :)

I have no plans for today… you know.. the whole no job and no money thing but I’m not big on big celebrations anyway. I’ll just be happy to have my kids call and say happy birthday. Right now I’m just going to sit back and relax and wait for my Tylenol Arthritis to kick in.
