I wish I were talking about me but I’m not. Drew, Andi’s fiancée, got a new job. He’s been at it for a couple weeks now and he seems to like it. He’s working on industrial products like big trucks and construction equipment and has mostly been doing welding fabricating.

He had to fabricate this big part for a front end loader and had to go to a place that sells steel. He fell in love with that place. It’s also hubby’s favorite place to go.

It’s a long hike for him to drive to work (about an hour or so each way). But he’s a young guy and can handle all that driving. He’s also getting a good paycheck too (much better than his old job). He works long hours too and gets plenty of overtime.

Andi is finally in the Army reserves now. She went up to Fort Dix the other day and signed all the paperwork so she’ll start getting a paycheck soon.

Me, on the other hand, hasn’t found a job yet. I put in resume after resume and don’t hear a thing from anyone. It’s very disheartening.

We can stay here until it’s sold but I was hoping things would turn out differently. Right now it’s so up in the air that I don’t know what we are doing. I really wasn’t planning a move again so soon.

On another note; I put in my resume with a temp agency today. I’m willing to try just about anything to get a job. I hope I find one soon. This not working thing is getting old real quick.

The other 3 grandkids are here this weekend and the house is quite noisy. We just had another delicious dinner cooked by Drew. He barbecued some nice thick pork chops. They turned out so good. They were so tender and juicy.

My mom had to go into the hospital a couple days ago. She was having belly pains and other problems. She was diagnosed with diverticulitis. Today she was released from the hospital into the nursing home we were trying to get her into.

When she was brought into her room on the stretcher she had a big smile on her face. She was so happy to be there. That makes me feel good that she likes this place because her first reaction was absolutely no to a nursing home when it was first brought up. She had been on a tour of the place a couple months ago and really liked it.

I don’t feel bad about putting her there. Now she is just a few minutes from most of her family instead of almost an hour away.

Drew is making a little guitar for Benton. Over the winter we went up to the Berlin Farmer’s market. They have a tobacco store inside that sells cigars and stuff. They also sell the empty cigar boxes. Drew searched through all of the boxes until he found the perfect one. There were Dutch Masters, Davidoff cigars and a lot of other different kinds.

He has to get the strings for it and the little knobs to tighten them and finish up the neck of the guitar. Benton is going to love it when it’s finished. I have a video of Benton playing the guitar up on Facebook.

A nurse from Medicaid finally came to see my mom last week and said she would be approved for a nursing home. We are waiting for a bed to open up now. But since she was evaluated by the nursing home a couple months ago she’s gone down hill a bit. She’s probably going to have to be re-evaluated.

Mom has had trouble breathing for awhile now. The medical report says she has COPD and hopefully she won’t have to have a respironics oxygen concentrator. I hope it doesn’t get that bad.

Her sister died a couple weeks ago and I think that has had a negative effect on her. She keeps saying she’s going to be the next to go. I just hope she’s not willing that to happen. Her sister was 9 years older than her and my mom was the baby of the family. All of her siblings have passed on.

I think Benton put on his cranky pants this morning (or rather mommy put them on him) because he’s been quite cranky today. He only took one nap this morning and refused to take another this afternoon, like he usually does. Andi made him oatmeal and he refused to eat it. He refused to eat rice.

He has this habit of screeching for no apparent reason and he did that a LOT today. Normally it’s only when he’s tired that he screeches. I think we all need a dose or two of Tylenol now.. lol.

Right now his daddy is giving him a nice bath and Andi is cleaning up the kitchen. We usually switch off duties like that. If Andi cooks then I clean up afterward and if I cook then Andi will clean up.

It looks like an early bedtime for Benton which is good and bad at the same time. Early bedtime means he’ll be up really early in the morning… something which no one looks forward to.

Andi’s fiancée Drew is superb cook! He does most of the cooking here and it’s always delicious. There never seems to be any leftovers which is probably a good thing because I would probably need to use a quick weight loss product because my jeans would get too tight.

We have a drawer full of spices and he always spices the food up really good. His steaks on the grill are to die for. I can’t wait for him to grill steaks again.

I’m not saying that Andi can’t or doesn’t cook because she can and she’s a really good cook too. Drew just seems to really like to cook. I haven’t had the chance to cook yet but I do try to clean up afterwards. Sometimes I feel like I’m not doing my part around here because by the time I get around to do something someone else is already doing it a lot of the time.

But so far things are working out here with the living arrangements and Andi and I haven’t gotten into an argument….. yet.

Andi is almost back in the Army (Reserves). She went up for her physical today but they have to do some kind of waiver showing she won’t get pregnant again. She can’t get pregnant because she had her tubes tied after she had Benton. So that means she’ll have to go back again to get sworn in and all that stuff as soon as the waiver comes through.

Speaking of Benton… he’s 11 months old today. It just seems like yesterday that he was born. He’s getting so big and I’m willing to bet he’ll be walking on his own any day now. He lets go and stands by himself for a few seconds or so and has even taken a step before sitting down again.

On to my mom. The nurse from Medicaid will be there to evaluate her on Friday. The nursing home we picked said they may be having an opening real soon. That’s a good thing because she’s started going downhill since her sister died on July 20th. She says it doesn’t bother her but you can tell it does. She told me that she’s the next to go. She is the last of her siblings still living. She just turned 90 in June. Her sister was 98.

Everyone will feel so much better once she gets into the nursing home. There will be people closer to her own age and maybe she’ll start perking up a bit. I know she really liked the place when we took her there for a tour.

When my uncle died, several years ago, we cleaned out his house (it was my grandparents house) and went through a lot of stuff. During the last several years of his life he rarely threw out anything. There were a ton of magazines piled up on the dining room table. I looked though some of them hardly noticed any apidexin reviews. I guess that’s because it’s a fairly new product.

I found a ton of old pictures that I still have but they are in storage at the moment. I scanned some of them and want to get the rest scanned. I also would like to make some sort of scrap book for all of those pictures. I don’t have names to go with a lot of the pictures so I have the ones I have scanned up online hoping someone will see them and know who they are and help me out some.

I work on our genealogy from time to time because I run into dead ends. I’ll stop doing it for awhile and when I start up again I end up finding more information. Just recently I found a lot of “new” ancestors that I couldn’t find before. As more and more people start putting their family trees online I find information I was unable to find before. I keep updating our tree and uploading it so researchers can find it and add to their trees.
