I haven’t heard from Andi in a couple days. I didn’t really expect to.. I’m sure she’s fine. I just hate that she’s so far away. We are more like sisters than mother and daughter. She’s my best friend and I miss her *sigh*

Well.. on to other stuff. It’s cold (in the 50′s), raining and windy. I think I’m gonna curl up on the couch with a blanket and watch TV and do nothing tonight!

I’m so happy… Andi called this morning while I was at work. Good thing she called the cell! *dancin’ up a storm* It was soooooo good to hear her voice! She brightened up an otherwise cloudy, wet and nasty day

I made arrangements for the grandkids (my daughter’s kids) to come over tomorrow and spend the night. I went out and got crayons, markers, drawing paper, stickers, etc for them to make stuff to send to their mom I also downloaded coloring pages off the web. I found some great military ones! *I had to find something else for them to do beside sit and watch cartoons the whole time they are here *

I have to do the grocery shopping tomorrow too. I think I’ll shop first then pick up the kids.. that way they can help me carry in the groceries!! *a method to my madness!!!*

I think mother nature forgot herself and went basically from summer to winter… it’s been damn COLD today. It only got to the mid 50′s. Tonight will be in the mid 30′s *shivering…. brrrrrrrrrrrrrr*

**Off to make my shopping list!!**

…the first snow flakes of the season are possible late tonight and early on monday morning…

low pressure is forecast to develop along the southeast coast today. the low will intensify as it moves to the northeast, passing near cape hatteras around midnight tonight before moving out to sea on monday.

the northwestern edge of the precipitation associated with the low is forecast to affect our region tonight into early monday morning. initially, it will be warm enough for all rain. however, as the low begins to near our latitude, the circulation around the system will begin to draw cold air down from the north and northwest late tonight. as a result, the rain may mix with or change to wet snow toward morning.

the precipitation is expected to come to an end during the morning commute. as a result, any period of wet snow should be short lived. nevertheless, there could be a light accumulation of snow at some locations. being that the ground remains relatively warm, any snow accumulation will likely be confined to unpaved surfaces.

I went to pay my rent today. On their door they had a snowman with the words "Think snow". I laughed. I laughed because, at the time it was 63 degrees outside. It's supposed to get up to 70. This is January… in New Jersey! It's not supposed to be this warm. There should be snow on the ground or at least have the temps in the 30's. I was out without a jacket! Anyway.. I went off track. I told the girl inside about her sign.. That's only something we can think or dream about because it ain't happenin' LOL

Right now it's 66 degrees. I'm about to open my windows!

I got the house all straightened up, I don't know why.. the grandkids are coming over! The nice clean house won't last long! But I have a movie for them to watch. I got them games for Christmas that they left here to play when they come over. They have crayons, coloring books, paper, books to read. So they have plenty to keep them busy. I have to go pick them up soon.

What a difference a day makes

Yesterday was sunny and got up to 73 degrees.. in January… in New Jersey! Today it got up to about 50 and now it's raining. I didn't realize it was raining but I think my back was trying to tell me that. It's been aching all day. My weather predictor

The grandkids trashed the house. I took them back to their father about 3pm. Every time I get back from dropping them off I always find something that one of them forgot. Today it was a sweatshirt that Eddie forgot lol. I must be a good gramma.. they never want to leave and they always ask if they are coming over next weekend.

I'm thinking of renting out my blog on Battle of the Blogs. But I don't know if anyone would rent space on my blog. I don't get a lot of hits.. at least not yet, because I now have my own domain and it's only been up less than a week. At my other blog around Christmas I was getting a couple hundred hits a day.. but mostly from people searching for Christmas song lyrics. LOL. I'll think about this for a bit and see …

Time to hit the sack! Grandkids wear me out!

Winter is here.. finally

Winter has finally shown up here in New Jersey. When I got up this morning it was 9 degrees with a windchill of -9 degrees. We had a light coating of snow on the ground. Monday we had about a half inch of snow. Now it’s 23 with a windchill of 8! Winds are at 20mph. *brrrrrr*

My computer desk is near the big sliding door to the balcony and the cold air just comes right on in. I’m just renting so I know that won’t be fixed anytime soon so I sit here all bundled up . It’s a good thing the vent for the heat is right under my desk.

Who left the freezer door open?

I want to know who left the freezer door open and when the hell are they going to close it? I’m FREEZING!!! It’s 1PM and it’s only 18 friggin degrees!

Oh… whoever it is also left the fan on too! It’s blowing at 27 mph.

Please.. please turn off the fan and close the freezer door! Please do it before I turn into a Mama-sickle!

Snow, snow, snow?

It started snowing about an hour ago. You can’t see the flakes in the picture, but believe me.. it’s snowing. Last week they were calling for us to have a big snowstorm. Now they are saying an inch or two by the end of the day then turning to sleet and rain.. *sigh*.

Hubby plows snow in the winter for extra money. The way it’s going this year… no extra cash. I hate the weather!

Snow was a bust

We ended up with about 1 or 2 inches of snow yesterday. Then we had sleet and freezing rain. The temperature went up overnight and it all changed to rain and the wind is blowing fiercely. The temperature is 43 degrees right now and will be dropping all day. The rain is due to turn back to snow before it ends. This weather sucks!
