He joined our family at 1:17 am on 8/27/09. He weighed 6 lbs 9 oz and is 20 inches long. Mom (Andi) and baby (Benton Jacob) are doing just fine. Andi had texted me at 8:45 pm last night and said her contractions were 7 minutes apart and if they didn’t get better by 9:30 pm she was going to the hospital. I didn’t hear from her again until I got a text just after 3 am telling me he was born.

Andi was supposed to go into the hospital on Friday to have him by c-section but that happened early this morning instead.

It funny how sometimes someone’s life ends and a new life begins. It’s just a shame Dawn didn’t make it to see Benton. But you all can see him below. He looks a lot like Kody (Kody was the baby of the family).
