It’s that time of the year that everyone makes resolutions that they either have no intention of sticking too or they just set their standards too high to be able to keep the resolution. What are your resolutions for 2010? I have just 2. I resolve to find a job this year and find a place to live, other than this camper.

I have officially been unemployed for a year now and the economy has made it very hard to find another. Money has been horribly tight and even with great shopping deals that abound this time of year Christmas shopping, for me, was practically non-existent. I always try to compare shopping prices when I shop online…. it’s just the smart thing to do.

I am really looking forward to becoming employed again and feeling back to normal. I just feel so disconnected with everything right now. I need to get my life back to normal, get a place to live, get our things out of storage and start really living again.

Our daughter, her boyfriend and our 4 grandkids will probably be living with us so we will need a nice sized house along with a freezer so we can stock up on things when they are on sale. I would also love to find a place that has nice, new stainless steel appliances. That would be my dream.

Being a self proclaimed geek I love computer gadgets. I have an optical mouse for my computer. It’s so much better than a mouse with a ball. The only problem I have with it is the cord. It gets in the way and gets wrapped around things on my desk. I’ve been looking longingly at wireless optical mice. I found one on sale at Buy.com. It’s a Logitech MX620 Cordless Laser Mouse. The list price for this mouse is $59.99 and Buy.com’s price is $39.99 and after the rebate it’s $19.99 and as always shipping is FREE!

I wish the IT department at work would get with the program and upgrade our computers with some nice stuff. I’m constantly having to take the ball out of my mouse and clean it and clean the inside of the mouse. We have huge monitors too. They need to invest in some optical mice and flat panel monitors.

We were finally given wireless headsets for our phones and in August the building will be getting cable internet. Our internet we have now is so slow that one program we use, which is internet based, takes forever to enter information in it and save it. Some of us were given laptops with broadband wireless cards to use just for that program. It’s so much faster and saves a lot of time entering the info that needs entering.

I got off topic a bit here… Let’s go back to Buy.com. Go and check out all of the great deals they have. I’ve put that wireless mouse on my list of things to get real soon.

I just got the word that I will definitely be going back to work, at Spirit Halloween, on June 9th!! They already have deals for 100 stores so I’ll have plenty to keep me busy. I have to get all the folders done up for the stores that are ready to go and start making phone calls soon – depending on the opening dates for those stores. I know they were talking about having 700 stores this season and by the time we’re done setting up and closing down those store I’m going to have to look into drug treatment centers (j/k).

Now what did I do with the stuff I packed up from my desk when I left?
