Mother nature must need to change her humidifier filters or turn it off completely because the humidity is horrible hear. It’s especially bad today because we had rain this morning and that just added to the moisture already in the air.

The heat wasn’t quite as bad today, it was below 100, but the humidity makes it feel hotter than what it really is.

They say the humidity makes your hair uncontrollable but that’s not the case for me. It doesn’t do a thing to my hair, it’s too thin. I wish my hair would curl in the humidity then maybe it would look thicker. But no… my hair is poker straight along with be so thin you can see my scalp through it.

I’ve always had baby fine hair but in the last few years it’s become really thin. I hate it. I tried all kinds of different shampoos to try to make it thicker but nothing is working. I’m even temped to try fast hair growth shampoo but I don’t need it to grow.. I need it to be thicker.

I put my hair in a ponytail and it’s just a pathetic, skinny little rats tail. I have to make sure to keep my hair dyed blond because when the roots start showing you can really see just how thin my hair is. With it being light blond it kind of blends with my scalp and the thinness is not quite as noticeable.

Where did she go?

My sister-in-law found some video tapes that she took with her camcorder 15 years ago. There were videos of the family and other stuff.

I’ve been thinking all this time that I don’t look much older than I did back then. Boy was I wrong! I looked so young in that video. I used to take good care of myself back then. My hair was always done nicely, I wore makeup, I wore nice shirts (not just t-shirts or sweat shirts) and I just looked good. Now I just don’t care how I look. I don’t wear makeup, I just brush my hair, I don’t shave my legs as often as I used to, I wear a lot of t-shirts and sweat shirts, I wear ratty sneakers. I look horrible.

Where did that person go? She looks so full of life and I look like I have one foot in the grave. She looked happy. I’m not so happy. I’m already depressed about my life and looking at me 15 years ago just makes the depression worse. It was also depressing, and also made me smile at the same time, seeing family members who have passed in the last 15 years. My dad was already gone then. My mom looked so young and much slimmer. Mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in-law, niece, 2 sisters-in-law are all gone now. I miss them all.

I have to do something about this.. about how I’m feeling… about how I look but I just don’t know what.

My grand daughter is 13, soon to be 14, and her dad told her she could dye her hair if she wanted to. Well… she did and it’s PINK!!! Well, not all of it is pink but the front is. I know when she was little she always said she wanted purple hair but I didn’t expect this.

Actually it really doesn’t look bad.. it just makes her look so different.
