Mah MawMaw is buzy

Mah MawMaw haz been very buzy. She takes stuff and puts it in these big, brown, square things she calls bockes. I like to get inside them but she makes me get owt. That don’t make me very happy. She says we are moving but I don’t know what that is. Things look so different here with all these bockes all over teh place. I just hope she don’t put my litter bocks and fud dish in one of them things. Where will I go? What will I eat?

MawMaw tells me we are gonna live in a trailer for a little bit. What is that? I hope there is windows so I can look owtside. She tells me it will be small. I hope theres room for my litterbocks and fud dish. I hope theres room for me too run cuz I get crazy sometimes and run thru the house and down the hall and jump up on the walls then back again.

Ahnyways I better end this before MawMaw sees me at her puter.. shes putting stuff in bockes in her bedroom.

Let the packing begin

We haven’t found a new place to move to yet but I started packing this morning. I figured I should start packing up stuff that I know I won’t be using for awhile.

I have a few boxes and decided to start on my ~~clutter~~ china cabinet. I had the door opened and was taking stuff out, wrapping it and putting it into a box when JoJo jumped up and started taking a stroll through the cabinet… meowing the whole time. If my batteries, for my camera, had been charged I would have taken a picture.

That cabinet hasn’t been opened since I got JoJo so I guess she was curious as to what was in there.. She’s such a goofball.

I heard from Andi this morning too and her and the baby are doing fine and could possibly be going home tomorrow.

Kitty stuff

I got JoJo some different cat food and treats and she really loves the new stuff. JoJo is a strange kitty.. all I have to do is say the word “treats” and she starts going crazy. She meows and purrs and makes a gargle sounding meow and she doesn’t stop until I put a few treats down on the floor for her. She gobbles them up so fast I don’t think she chews them. I wonder if they make Phenphedrine for cats.. she’s going to get chunky if she keeps this up.

She’ll meow at me and if I ignore her she runs down the hallway and jumps up on the wall then runs back out in the living room and into the dining room and jumps up on one of the chairs. Sometimes after she uses her litter box she’ll sit in the bathroom door way and meow to let me know to scoop out her box.

Sometimes I wonder who the boss is here… goofy kitty or me?

After I close the vertical blinds on the sliding door at night she gets behind them to survey her domain. I get up in the morning and she’s behind them soaking up the sun that comes in.

Getting tired of the cat

There is nothing more disgusting than walking into the spare bathroom in my bare feet and feeling dampness in the throw rugs. That’s just so gross!! It’s didn’t come from a leak.. it came from JoJo.. the cat. She peed once in the litter box then the rest of the time she just used the throw rugs in the bathroom.

I am not a happy fur mommy. I washed the rugs, hung them on the shower rod in the bathroom and sprayed them with odor eliminator and left them to dry. I used the odor eliminator before and I guess it just didn’t work because JoJo used them as her private potty again. I’m not putting them back down on the floor until we have guests again.

I am so tempted to put JoJo into her carrier and take her over to the Humane Society or ASPCA and put her up for adoption. The only thing that’s stopping me from doing that is her overall cuteness. If she wasn’t so cute and lovable.. she’d be outta here!!

She wasn’t feeling good

This morning JoJo wasn’t feeling good.. I think. Her normally pink nose was almost as white as the fur around it.

I’m looking at her now and it’s back to it’s normal pink again. She’s been sleeping all day but that’s normal for her. She’s been eating and drinking too. The white nose kind of freaked me out. I never saw her nose look like that. Her gums were a little pale too.

I guess I’ll find out in a couple hours if she’s ok or not. She gets playful in the evening and runs around like crazy.

She just got up and walked over to me and meowed.. well as much as she can meow. It comes out sounding like a gargled meow. I’ve never heard her hiss, spit or caterwaul either. Even when that squirrel was up on the balcony she never uttered a sound. Most cats would have been hissing and spitting up a storm.. but not JoJo. She’s the strangest cat I’ve ever had.

Earlier today someone threw some cookies outside on the ground. There were birds swooping down to get them. 1 squirrel managed to grab a cookie and climbed up the downspout and climbed onto our balcony. JoJo tried to get at the squirrel and banged her head into the glass in the sliding door. The squirrel ran off leaving his cookie behind.

Later on this morning he came back and started eating his cookie (if he eats any more cookies he’s going to need some good fat burning pills lol). I grabbed the video camera because JoJo was really freaking out. The video is below. Be sure to watch the middle and the end and you’ll see the squirrel do something really unexpected. The picture above is a hint.

JoJo has been laying in front of the sliding door all day just waiting for her “buddy” to come back. I got a real good laugh out of that. I sure needed it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Gobble, Gobble, Gobble

That is what I heard about 8am this morning. I opened up the blinds in my living room and saw about 5 or 6 wild turkeys outside. There were 2 male (tom) turkeys and the rest were females. I’ve seen the females around here several times over the past 3 years but I’ve never seen the male turkeys.

JoJo was so shocked to see them that she never even uttered a sound. She just sat there staring at them. Those birds were huge. If you click on the picture at the top of the post you’ll see JoJo staring at the turkeys. You can see one of the females in the picture too. Below is a picture of some of the turkeys right below the window. The males were all puffed up with their tail feathers showing in their full glory.

She’s so lazy

JoJo has gotten to be very lazy. She sleeps all day long. Right now she’s curled up in her bed sleeping away. It seems as though all she does is eat and sleep. She’s starting to gain a little weight too. Soon she’ll need some weight loss pills in a kitty version or a kitty treadmill.

She used to want to play late at night and would meow and meow for someone to play with her. The past 3 nights in a row there has been no meowing at night. She just comes in the bedroom and hops up on the bed, on my feet, and goes to sleep.

It’s not that she doesn’t have her playful periods. They just aren’t as often as they used to be. She’s not as kittenish as she used to be.. she’s growing into a cat. She still plays with her toys in the evening and gets goofy running all around. Maybe she’s just become calmer in her “old” age.

I had to take a video of JoJo last night as she was playing fetch with her mouse. This video came out pretty good considering the low light. The laughter you hear in the background and the feet you see later in the video belongs to hubby.
