Merry Christmas to all my readers and I hope Santa is good to each and every one of you.

I had an interesting Christmas eve day. I had to go to the laundromat because the washer and dryer I have don’t work very well. It’s a stackable unit and it’s old. It takes forever to dry a very small load of clothes and you can’t wash a load while another load is drying. Then I had to go to WaWa to get a couple thing and some cash to give to the grandkids.

I’ve also been suffering with a bad cold for almost a week now and I had to go to CVS to get some cold medicine. While I was waiting to check out the guy in front of me was buying a bunch of swisher sweets cigarillos that he said he was giving as gifts to his friends. I thought that was a little strange but I guess his guy friends would love them.

Now I’m back home and just messing around on the computer for a little bit before I have to turn it back over to Andi. I hope Santa got my letter and brings me a new computer for Christmas.

Tomorrow I have to do laundry. I’m glad I’m living somewhere where I have a washer and dryer. I no longer have to drag all my stuff to a laundromat to wash and dry my clothes. When I went to the laundromat I never sorted things, I just put everything into one of the largest washers they had. Now I take the time and sort my whites, lingerie, dark colors, sheets and blankets and do separate loads.

The delicate things require different settings than regular clothes so they need to be done separately. They should also be air dried too. We have a laundry room with a rod so things can be hung to dry, which is a blessing.

Once a week I go and pick up my mom’s clothes, she’s in a nursing home, and wash them for her. I do the same thing with her clothes. I sort them, wash them, dry them, fold them up nicely then take them back and hang them all up in her closet for her. She used to do this all for me, when I was younger, now it’s my turn to give back to her.

Today I have to do a lot of running around. 1st I have to go to the bank and make a deposit. Then I have to go to WaWa and get a couple things. Then the laundromat… *YUK*. Then to CVS and get hubby’s meds refilled. Then to Shoprite to get some lunchmeat and cheese.

Then I’m sure Andi will need to go somewhere so I’ll have to run out again. Sometime today I also have to get gas in the car.

So now I need to get dressed and get moving. Have fun today everyone!!

The property management sent a guy here yesterday to fix my washer. He was here for about an hour or so and did this, that and the other thing to the washer. He put it all back together and started it up and it made the same noises it made before he “fixed” it.

He packed up all of his stuff and said he needed to get some parts and he’ll “call me” and then he left. A couple hours later the property manager called me and said she was going to try to get the landlord to break down and get me a new washer and she’ll “keep in touch”. I was hoping I would hear from her this morning but my phone has been silent.

In about 2 days I’m going to have to go to the laundromat if something isn’t done with the washer one way or another. With my back trying to carry clothes up and down the stairs to and from the car, not to mention dragging them into the laundromat and out again, will kill my back.

I’ll wait and if I hear nothing today I will be giving them a call 1st thing in the morning.

The guy left my utility room in a big mess too. The washer is pulled out and partially blocking the dryer. The washer and dryer are covered in grease. I was not real impressed with this guy at all. He had a hard time taking the washer apart.. it took him almost a half hour to do that.
