I made a turkey breast for dinner tonight. It should have taken 2 hours at 350 degrees for this 6 lb turkey breast but after 2 hours it was still way too pink inside to eat. So I bumped the temperature up to 400 for another half hour and when that was up I took it out and it was still pinkish inside. We ended up cutting off some slices and put them in the microwave for a little bit. The turkey was good but a little toughish from the microwaving.

I could have cooked it longer but it’s already 6:30 pm and everyone was hungry. The side dishes were done long before the turkey was. I’m used to a gas stove and this stove here is electric and I hate it. We didn’t have any cooking bags (which is what I usually cook my turkeys in) and had to use foil (cheap foil at that). The next time I’ll make sure we have cooking bags. They cut down on the cooking time and really make a turkey nice and juicy.

We sat and ate the sides while waiting for the turkey and read magazines and discussed the pronexin reviews and other stuff. We didn’t eat a lot of turkey because everyone filled up on the side dishes.

My turkey usually gets rave reviews from everyone but tonight I gave it a huge thumbs down.

Well, not all of it is pink but the front is. I know when she was little she always said she wanted purple hair but I didn’t expect this.

Actually it really doesn’t look bad.. it just makes her look so different.

This morning JoJo wasn’t feeling good.. I think. Her normally pink nose was almost as white as the fur around it.

I’m looking at her now and it’s back to it’s normal pink again. She’s been sleeping all day but that’s normal for her. She’s been eating and drinking too. The white nose kind of freaked me out. I never saw her nose look like that. Her gums were a little pale too.

I guess I’ll find out in a couple hours if she’s ok or not. She gets playful in the evening and runs around like crazy.

She just got up and walked over to me and meowed.. well as much as she can meow. It comes out sounding like a gargled meow. I’ve never heard her hiss, spit or caterwaul either. Even when that squirrel was up on the balcony she never uttered a sound. Most cats would have been hissing and spitting up a storm.. but not JoJo. She’s the strangest cat I’ve ever had.
