Hubby got paid from the plowing he did in during the big storm in December. I needed some new jeans and went to that fancy french department store (Tar-Jay) and picked up a couple pair. I went to get my usual size (10) but when I picked up a pair it looked like I could fit 2 of me in them! When did they change the sizes?? I picked up a pair of size 6 and held them up to me and they looked like they might fit.

I hate trying clothes on at the store but I took them into the dressing room and was shocked that they fit perfectly! The length was perfect.. the fit in the waist was perfect. They fit so good that I picked up a second pair.

I bought a couple other things I needed and headed to the checkout and was pleasantly surprised that I spent under $65. I’m tempted to frame the receipt printed out on the tm-t88iv printer.

I got home and hubby told me I should have picked up a couple more pair of jeans. Maybe I’ll go back later in the week and do that!

Hubby is out plowing again. He came home about 8:30 or so last night and went out again about 8 am. It’s now 1:30pm and he’s still out there.

I went out and cleaned off my car but that was as far as I could get. I can’t get to the drivers side of the car because of all of the snow and I don’t have a shovel. Hubby still has to finish plowing the driveway right behind my car so I can get it out. I’m glad I have enough stuff to last another day or two.

Enjoy the day after pictures below. The 1st 3 are the neighbors from yesterday… the 2 kids and parents. They built a snow fort out of snow and in the last one they built a snow slide. Now that looked like fun!

The ones below are from today when I was out cleaning off my car. A few show the camper covered in ice and the one showing the sky and trees. If you look closely at the trees you can see the snow blowing. I thought that was a neat shot!

My son, Kris, came up for a visit. He left South Carolina on Friday, before we knew we were in for a boat load of snow, and got here Saturday morning. He left today and got as far as just below Richmond, VA and got a nail in his tire. His car is a Corvette. He has no spare so he made it to a gas station and got a can of Fix-A-Flat and it will work holding air until he can get home.

There is one problem now.. he’s stranded there along with about 20 other people who can’t get up the incline from the station to the road. So he’s stuck there, sleeping in his car, for the night. I just hope he’ll be ok. I don’t want him to freeze and I don’t want him to die of carbon monoxide poisoning either.

I don’t think I’m going to be able to sleep much tonight.

Poor hubby is out plowing snow. He tried to get some sleep before he had to leave but his cell wouldn’t stop ringing. The wind is howling and the snow is coming down. There must be at least 3 inches on the ground now. We are supposed to get between 9 and 12 inches before it’s all said and done.
