I have really cheap life insurance because I don’t pay a dime for it. It comes out of hubby’s paycheck. I’m not working right now so I don’t have my own insurance that I pay for.

I got some fairly good news earlier today. I called the storage company and they are willing to work with us and not put our stuff for auction. We will be making payments every 2 weeks, when hubby gets paid, to get caught up. So hopefully in a few months I’ll have my stuff back again! That will make me very happy.

I don’t feel quite as stressed as I did yesterday now that I don’t have the worry of my stuff being auctioned off to strangers.

Deck the halls

I love looking at Christmas decorations and love decorating my house. Well I used to love it but now that all my Christmas decorations are in storage the only lights in my place will be hudson valley lighting that is in the place already.

There are a lot of things that mean a lot to me in storage but unless I can come up with just about $2000 in less than 30 days all my precious things will be sold at auction. I’m really, really sad about this whole thing.

*sigh* I suppose I should just consider those things gone because there is nothing I can do about getting them back now short of robbing a bank or something else totally illegal. Don’t worry.. I won’t be doing anything stupid like that.

Moving time again and Saturday is the day. We’re busy packing what little stuff we have for the move. We’ll have a sofa, coffee table, chair, bed and a couple of tv stands plus some boxes to move.

Because of financial reasons all of my things are STILL in storage where they have been for over a year now. I really miss my stuff. Andi will say she needs something and I always end up saying that I have whatever it is but it’s in storage.

I have just one set of sheets for my bed because I don’t want to and can’t afford to buy any extras and the others I do have are in storage.

I need to either find a job (no luck with that one) or find a way to make a decent amount of money working from home (without falling for scams). I just hate living this way… it’s depressing and that’s not a good thing.

Going to have to purge

Even though I went through all my stuff before I moved almost a year ago I’m going to have to do it again when I finally get my stuff out of storage. I’ve had all this time to think about that stuff and I’ve decided I need to get rid of more things. I packed up stuff that is probably no good now too.. stuff like weight loss diet pills, vitamins and some spices. They’ve been sitting in boxes for a year now and I wouldn’t want to even use them now.

I will probably sell my full sized bed that was in the spare bedroom and some extra furniture I won’t be needing anymore. I want to get myself a one bedroom place and probably won’t have room for a lot of things. I’m thinking I want to move back up to Smithville again. I did like the area I just wasn’t too thrilled with the place I lived in. I’m hoping I can find a place with an updated kitchen and bathroom.

New blog

I just started a new blog on a subdomain of this blog. It’s called Do You Know Me? and will contain old picture of people that were found in my late uncle’s attic. I sorted through them and separated them into people I know and people I don’t know. I’m putting up the ones I don’t know on that blog in hopes that someone will recognize them and leave me a comment with who they are.

I’ll be trying to put up at least one old photo a day and when I get my stuff out of storage I’ll have a lot more to scan and put up there.

So if you can help me out, I’d really appreciate it!

I need light

I can’t wait until we can afford to get our stuff out of storage. I need some of my lamps. I can’t afford to go out and buy new ones right now although I’d love to get some Quoizel lighting. They make some very pretty lamps that I’d love to have. I have borrowed lamps right now but I just want my own. I love my lamps.. they’re so pretty.

I’d also love to replace the lighting in the bathroom. The current lighting is a strip of what I call “movie star dressing room” lights. You know the kind.. they are a strip of about 4 lights that have the huge round bulbs in it. They were very popular in the 80′s. We had them in the house we used to have that was built in 1986. I liked them then but not so much anymore. I’d like something a little more sleek and modern looking.

Actually this whole house could do with new lighting and even an electrical upgrade. We can’t have the window air conditioning units on and use a vacuum at the same time without tripping a circuit breaker. That just doesn’t seem all that safe to me.

Tired and stressed

I’ve been so stressed lately trying to figure out a way to pay our storage bill and come up with the money to get my stuff moved to our new place. I haven’t been able to sleep very well. I keep waking up every couple hours or so. It’s so bad that I’ve been reading some prevera reviews to help with the bags and dark circles under my eyes.

I ran out of ideas to help come up with the money. I could sell things but everything I own is in storage so I can’t sell them until I can get them out of storage. Do you see the viscous circle I’m running in? So the only other thing I can think of is to ask for donations on my blog. I really hate doing that and it’s probably going to cause me even more stress but I have to do something. I don’t have anyone I can borrow from because most everyone I know has money problems too… *sigh*

Even though I asked in the post below, I’ll ask again. If you have a little to spare and would like to help me out click on the donate button in my sidebar. Any amount at all will help and I really appreciate any help you can give.

Yard sale and a little help please

My sister-in-law had a yard sale on Saturday. She had a lot to sell too. She had furniture, some promotional tote bags from the casinos, housewares, knick knacks and a lot of other stuff. Most of it ended going back in the garage because not a lot of people showed up.

She had it advertised in the paper and on Craig’s list too. She had signs all over the place. It was kind of busy in the morning but once it hit noon there weren’t many customers after that. She was going to keep it open until 2 pm but because it was so slow she closed early. She made over $100 though.

She found a new place to move to and is supposed to move the 1st week in July and sometime after that I’ll be moving in there with Andi, Drew, the baby and Drew’s dad. We just have to get the storage fees paid off and come up with the money for the movers.

If anyone would like to help out and donate something towards getting my furniture moved to my new home I’ll really love you forever! There is a donate button in my sidebar at the top. Any amount will help out greatly. I really hate asking but I’m in a bind here and need to get out of this camper as soon as possible. Thank you!

So far… not so good

We’ve been trying to find a place to move to and we haven’t had much luck. We went to see a couple places and the 1st one was $1150 a month and wasn’t really a bad size except our dining room furniture wouldn’t fit in the dining area (tiny, tiny, tiny), the closets had no doors (just shelves on a wall), absolutely no pets allowed (landlord has a big dog though) and the biggest thing was the house was literally 5 feet away from the landlord’s house.

Then we went to see a double wide on it’s own lot. That place was $925 a month and was so tiny. The “master suite” looked like only a twin bed would fit in it. The 2nd bedroom was so small if you put a twin bed in it it would take up the whole room. None of our furniture would fit in this place. You would have to be a little person to live there. The ceilings were just a few inches above hubby’s head and he’s 6’2″. It felt very claustrophobic in there.

We’re probably going to have to put our stuff in storage and live in our camper until we can find a place. Not my idea of fun. Hubby, me and the cat… JOY! At least it has a nice kitchen area.

I’m still packing away here. Hubby brings home a few boxes at a time from work otherwise I’d probably be done by now, if I had more boxes.

Andi, her boyfriend Drew and Benton were here this weekend. Benton is such a good baby and rarely cries. Drew is officially Benton’s dad. He stepped up and adopted him. He’s a good guy. Hubby likes him so that’s saying something.

Andi just left to go back to Texas. She’s going to be stopping in Myrtle Beach to have breakfast with her brother and his girlfriend in the morning. On Friday she’s getting married in a civil ceremony. Her hubby to be is a medic at Ft Hood also. Andi will be deploying the middle of this month and her hubby to be is deploying a couple weeks later.

When she gets back to Texas she has a lot to do, besides getting married… She has to finishing packing up all her stuff and move it all into storage. She’ll have a lot of boxes and furniture, but no Moroccan furniture. Then J will have to pack up his stuff from his house and move that into storage too. It will all be stored for the next year.

So there’s going to be a lot more posts about Andi and J coming in the next year. I hope ya’ll are ready for that!

I’m also going to be doing some shopping for some slip covers… finally. My white couches are starting to turn gray looking. I’ve seen all types from plain to some that make it look like you have Moroccan furniture. When I decide which I want and get them I’ll post a picture.
