I think I found my next TV

My TV is over 10 years old… probably closer to 15 years old. It’s a great 27″ Panasonic TV but it’s big and bulky. I want a flat screen TV and I think I might have found one. I was checking out the weekly deals at Buy.com and found one on Sale.
It’s a nice 19″ Magnavox and it would be perfect for the bedroom. I really want a bigger one for the living room. I don’t need a huge TV for the living room… one that’s about 32″ will be perfect. Until I can save up enough money for a larger one this one will be fine for the bedroom. It’s only $229.99 and that’s a savings of $150.00 and shipping is free. I love free shipping!
It’s an LCD TV and it’s HDTV compatible. It’s also Energy Star compliant which makes it green also. It has Dolby sound and it also has a headphone jack so the TV can be watched without disturbing anyone else. The maximum resolution for this TV is 1440 X 900. There are 7 different ports in the rear of the TV for video, audio, components, etc. There are 2 more ports on the side for video and audio.
I’m going to try to save up my money from my work and try to get this. I just hope it’s still on sale when I’ve saved up enough to buy it.

I was just checking out the things on Sale at Buy.com and I found something that could prove to be very useful. It’s a keychain camera. I don’t know how many times I’ve been out somewhere and saw something and wished I had my camera with me. If I had this I wouldn’t have to worry about having a camera with me all the time.
This camera takes stills and videos and it can be used as a webcam. It comes in white, silver, pink or blue. It’s regularly $29.99 and you can save $25.00. $4.99 is a great price for this and shipping is free! That’s a savings of 83%.
I can think of so many uses for this. I always have my keys with me so having a camera on the keychain would be so I would never be without my camera. It would be good for taking pictures/videos of people doing stupid stuff on the road or in a store. I could use it if I see something I’d love to have but want to ask hubby about it first. I could show him the picture of it so he’d know what I’m talking about.
If it’s still on sale on Friday, when I get paid, I’m going to order it and give it a try. I’ll only be losing $4.99 if it doesn’t work as expected.

Snow, snow, snow

Kris made it home early this morning. He managed to get back on the road and after just a few miles he ran out of the snow and into rain.
It’s still snowing here. The schools are closed. It’s windy and the snow is blowing and drifting. Hubby is still out plowing. He’s been out all night.
I got outside just before 8am and took some pictures and a video. There is over 6 inches on the ground.. probably closer to 8 inches. I didn’t take a ruler to measure, but you can see it in the video. The parking lot hasn’t been plowed yet and the walkways haven’t been shoveled yet either.
I won’t be going out anywhere today. I’ll just stay inside and watch the pretty whiteness from the warmth of my living room while watching all the weather reports from my TV on my tv stand! Enjoy the video.

I had to take a video of JoJo last night as she was playing fetch with her mouse. This video came out pretty good considering the low light. The laughter you hear in the background and the feet you see later in the video belongs to hubby.

I got it!
The Flip Video camera that I ordered came today! I immediately tried it out and I love it. I can actually make videos without having to put every light in the place on. It’s cloudy today so there is no sunlight coming in either. The videos are so much better than the ones my digital camera takes. I can’t take a video with my digital camera unless I have every single light on.

The camera has a USB arm that plugs right into my computer and it loaded the Flip Video software right on to my computer. No discs to lose! The software is great too. You can make movies right from that and even upload them to YouTube, etc. You can also take still pictures from your videos.

At first I thought there was a problem with the camera because I could hear a lot of static in the background when I played the video on my computer. But I found out that I just had the volume too high on my computer.. oops.
This camera takes great videos and is so very easy to use. It came with batteries, a wrist strap and a nice black velvet-like bag to store it in.

Must save my pennies

I found a digital video camera on sale and I just can’t beat the price anywhere. I have a digital camera that has video capabilities but I’d love to have a separate video camera and this one fits the bill. Unless I have every light on in my condo the videos come out very dark. The Pure Digital Flip Video Ultra has settings for low light (perfect for me), indoor, outdoor and action.
Sometimes I’m asked to do a review that involves a video and a lot of the times I turn them down because of the quality of the videos from my digital camera. I will have to save up some money and invest in one of these digital camcorders. Another reason to get this one from Buy.com is that they have free shipping! Free shipping is always a good thing.
This camera is usually $199 and it’s 55% off so the price I would pay is only $89.99. Now that’s a fantastic deal in my book.
With this camera I can make some videos to send to our kids. It’s even cheap enough I could get them each one so they can send us videos of them and their kids. When Andi and Misty have their babies I’d be able to see them grow in video instead of just photos.
Now all I have to do is save up the money and put in an order. Hopefully I can do that soon.
